October sales strong for Chrysler

Chrysler's welcome resurgence in the automotive market continued its trend in October. It is the 19th consecutive month in which sales gains bettered those of the year prior. In Orlando, Chrysler 200 and redesigned 300 sales indicate a strong outlook for this American automotive juggernaut. Indeed, all five Chrysler lines saw sales improvements last night, with Chrysler's Town & Country taking home top sales honors.

Chrysler has recently announced plans to begin construction on a new, $165 million expansion project at its Sterling Heights Assembly Plant in Michigan. The expansion will add one million square feet to facility, including a state-of-the-art body shop equipped with the latest conveyor technology and robotics. The plant is also the primary production facility for the Dodge Avenger and Chrysler 200 lines. This headlining investment plan from Chrysler will do more than increase production capacity; it will create an estimated 2,000 new jobs at a time when America needs them most.
