Chrysler
has recently announced that it will begin testing on a new line of plug-in
hybrid pickup trucks. In cooperation with the U.S. Department of Energy,
Chrysler will make five Dodge Ram 1500 plug-in prototypes to a Nevada research
facility for further development. The project will investigate fuel-economy,
energy grid impact and the overall feasibility of plug-in pickup trucks.
