Chrysler has recently announced plans to begin construction on a new, $165 million expansion project at its Sterling Heights Assembly Plant in Michigan. The expansion will add one million square feet to facility, including a state-of-the-art body shop equipped with the latest conveyor technology and robotics. The plant is also the primary production facility for the Dodge Avenger and Chrysler 200 lines. This headlining investment plan from Chrysler will do more than increase production capacity; it will create an estimated 2,000 new jobs at a time when America needs them most.
