IIHS names eleven Chrysler vehicles Top Safety Picks

Each year the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety releases its list of Top Safety Picks. Continuing in its strong tradition of top-tier safety, the Chrysler group landed eleven vehicles on this list. This total is up two from last year, demonstrating Chrysler's ongoing efforts to ensure its customers are driving the safest vehicles on the road.

Though it is an honor to place over ten vehicles on the IIHS list of Top Safety Picks, it is more important that Chrysler continues to keep its customers safe every year. This year two Dodge models, the Journey and Avenger, made the list of Top Safety Picks for the fourth consecutive year. In the strength-to-weight ratio category, the 2011 Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Caravan received some of the highest ratings among minivans tested. Here is a full list of the eleven Top Safety Picks from Chrysler:

  • Chrysler Town & Country, 200 and 300
  •  Dodge Grand Caravan, Durango, Charger, Journey and Avenger
  •  Jeep® Grand Cherokee and Patriot
  • Fiat 500

Some of the safety features that set these vehicles apart include ParkSense rear park assist and Blind Spot Monitoring.
